Fancy trying our version of glamping in Sussex? We do prefer to label our fully equipped bell tents as ‘wild glamping’, as compared to other ‘luxury camping’ sites, we aim to offer a real, off-grid experience in the woods. We have no hair dryers, mobile phone chargers, butler service, silk sheets or hot tubs. Rather we provide a real ‘wild glamping in Sussex’ experience made easy, with just about all the camping equipment you should need, all waiting for you setup in a lovely setting in the woods.
A Four Metre Bell Tent with an extended entrance annex. (At Wild Boar Wood Campsite).
A Large Five Metre Bell Tent with an extended entrance annex. (At Beech Estate Woodland Campsite).
Inside the Bell Tent; Comfortable Double Adults Bed and Single Kids Camp Beds, Carpet, Coffee Table, Eco Lantern (wind up), Matches. (Extra Adult Camp Beds can be added).
Kitchenware; Kettle, Enamelware (plates, bowls & cups), Cutlery, Cooking Utensils, Corkscrew, Mugs, Coffee Cafetiere, Salad Bowl, Wine Glasses, Cooking Pan, Frying Pan, Sharp Knives, Chopping Block, Oven Glove.
Outside the Bell Tent; 25-Litre Drinking Water Dispenser, Cool Box, Two Director’s Chairs, Picnic Table, Washing-up Bowl, Drying Rack, Rubbish Bin.
Fireside; An Allocation of Firewood and Kindling (you may also purchase additional firewood), Eco Wood-Cooking Stove, Barbeque Grill, Barbeque Utensils.
Also supplied; Toilet Paper, Eco Shampoo/Body Wash, Washing Up Liquid, Dish Cloths.
There are also some limited extra cooking utensils, pots and pans, ladles, colander etc available from the warden. Dutch ovens may also be hired.
Glamping in Sussex. What you need to bring:
Required; Duvet or Sleeping Bags, Pillows and Pillow Cases, Bed Sheets, Towels, Tea Towels, Food, Drink, Newspaper/Paper (to light your fire), Black Bin Bags (to take away your rubbish and recycling), Extra Torches and Lanterns, Warm/Dry/Suitable Clothing, Wellies.
Recommended; Marshmallows, Salad Dressings, Oil, Vinegar etc, Cooking Oil, Foil/Cling Film/Kitchen roll, Food Storage Boxes, Food Ties/Bags, An Extra Cool Box (if you have lots of food and drink), Extra Candles/Lanterns, Games, Insect Repellant, Sun Cream and a sense of adventure….
YOU MUST be prepared to take home all (or some) of your general rubbish with you please. We provide a rubbish bin and black bin liner with each bell tent, but we are limited in the amounts of rubbish we can dispose of in peak periods. So we ask you to help by removing what you brought to site please. We will always prioritise those who come glamping in Sussex with us and stay in our bell tents and use our allowance to dispose of their rubbish first. We also now have glass and general recycling bins at both Sussex campsites.
The wardens can also supply maps for local walks and to walk to local pubs. Wheelbarrows are provided to assist you get you belongings to and from the tents. Car parking is provided free.
